I recorded this the other day 🚴

I’m thrilled to be making a one-off return to Formula 1 racing, and I couldn’t think of a better place to make that return than my adopted home Grand Prix: Monaco. I’ve won the race before, in 2009, and it’s one of my all-time favourite racetracks. It’s a tricky street circuit on which a good driver can really make a difference OK, I realise we won’t have a realistic chance of repeating my 2009 victory, but I think we’ll have an opportunity to score world championship points, which will be very valuable to the team in terms of constructors’ rankings. As for Fernando, I hope he not only fares well at Indy but enjoys it too. It’ll be a great experience for him. He’s an excellent driver, as we all know, and he’s very experienced, so, although super-speedway driving techniques will be all-new to him, I expect him to get to grips with it all pretty quickly. And on Sunday evening, after the Monaco Grand Prix, I’ll sit down and watch him do his stuff on TV. I’m looking forward to that too. But most of all I’m looking forward to pitting myself against the unique racing challenge that is the Monaco Grand Prix. I’m fit, having done a lot of triathlon training recently, so I have no worries on that score. And it’ll be nice to say ‘hi’ to all my old Formula 1 mates too, and hopefully to give the fans something to cheer about.

The support you get at Silverstone is amazing. I camp here and when you drive from the campsite and drive into the circuit you see the people coming in, you see the Union Jacks, the support is incredible. Fans here don't just support the British drivers. If you walk past someone, it doesn't matter whether they are supporting you or wearing the cap of another team, they'll wish you good luck, and the place is so special because of that. The atmosphere is electric, it's a very special feeling. #BritishGP

200m lake swim, 10km cycle and 2.5km run. You can handle that, right? #Triathlon

The 2016 Jenson Button Trust Triathlon is set to be the biggest event to date with the capacity for double the amount of competitors as seen in previous years. To be held in Markeaton Park, Derby on Sunday July 17th, competitors will get the chance to race against the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion and a number of amateur and professional Triathletes. Keeping the same exciting format as adopted in previous years competitors will get the chance to race twice, with the preliminary heat consisting of a 200m lake swim, 10km cycle and 2.5km run. The fastest in the heats will then go on to the final, which is double the distance, 400m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run, with the runners up going through to the wooden spoon race.
